Symbol of reflection, introspection and vanity, the mirror is not only a practical device, but also an object that confronts the individual with a complex comparison between that which appears and that which we feel – between our reflection and how we are perceived by others. Italian artist Pietro Terzini, known for his audacious works that are an invitation to interact and reflect, presents his first design product in collaboration with Cassina.
Featuring a contemporary design aesthetic, the large oval ME FROM OUTSIDE mirror contains a screen-printed message, in capital letters, that creates a candid relationship between the observer and the object itself. This version, which becomes part of the Details collection, bears the phrase “We see what we want to see”, emphasising how perception of the world is altered by the sensitivities of each individual.
