By blending fine artisan craftsmanship and industrial manufacturing, Linde Freya Tangelder combines glass and colour in a design low table. Focal points of the project are transparency and the interplay of colours produced by overlapping the parts. The unexpected curved, organic shapes – expressed through deep thicknesses and challenging unevenness – that the sensitivities of the Dutch designer impart to this element make it a distinctive, precious object.
The sculpted lines of the top, that continue along the vertical walls, bear the mark of many parts that encountered one another, creating a uniqueness, and narrating a journey. The shape of Fluid Joinery was crafted by design to encourage the combination of several elements. The product is completely mouth blown and shaped by hand, maintaining some unevenness and small irregularities that add value and enhance its uniqueness.
The side table is not suitable for seating. Improper use could cause damage to the product.
