A living room system designed to define the domestic landscape in a fluid, flexible manner. This is Esosoft ‒ the first modular sofa designed by Antonio Citterio for Cassina ‒ a project that embodies the timeless elegance and style the Italian designer is known for but which is also an aspirational tribute to the art of the great masters and to the practice of conceptualising furniture by detaching the structural part from its padded interior.
The model has been expanded with eight new modules, including four end elements, designed to be clustered together and to allow the creation of personalised compositions. In addition, some elements are compatible with the sofas already in the collection, making it possible to create new combinations. The new modules have seats with depth increased by 15 cm and are available in different shapes and widths. The sofa shell respects the principles of circularity: it has a metal structure with elastic webbing, padding in plant-based polyurethane foam, internal lining in recycled PET wadding.
