Designed by Gio Ponti for Poltrona Frau in 1965, the Dezza armchair has preserved its modernity over the years. Among the most beloved iconic armchairs by Poltrona Frau, Dezza has remained in production, and for its sixtieth anniversary, it is presented in a particularly sophisticated reissue, with an exclusive upholstery taken from an unpublished design by the great Milanese architect and designer, representing many different hands. A playful artistic touch evoking the craftsmanship and “intelligence of the hands” with which the chair itself is constructed, one of the key values of the Poltrona Frau brand. Dezza 60th Anniversary Limited Edition, in a limited edition of only 60 individually numbered and certified pieces, will be available starting from February 13, 2025, exclusively online for purchase only on the Poltrona Frau e-shop, in the main European markets.

Dezza 60th Anniversary Limited Edition is an upholstered armchair with a typically modernist design, elegant and essential. The squared lines of the seat are balanced by the elegant curved armrests that follow the entire profile of the armchair to the legs, giving the piece a sense of lightness and dynamism. Dezza 60th Anniversary Limited Edition has a solid wood frame and is upholstered in Pelle Frau® Impact Less. The upholstery in the colors Panna and Iris reproduces an original, unpublished illustration by the famous Milanese architect and designer Gio Ponti: a motif of 26 stylized hands, each different from the other and each with its name and characteristic: “the gloved hand,” “the starry hand,” “the rotating hand,” “the fortune-teller’s hand,” and so on. Each piece is accompanied by a signed certificate of authenticity, individually numbered, and marked with a metal tag placed on the back of the armchair.
